Images of Norah Lush

Norah Alice Gwendoline Lush was born in 1881 in Willesden, London, the eldest of six children of Richard Lush, a bank clerk, and his wife, Ellen Stone. Her father died in 1900 and by 1901 the family had moved to Ealing; Norah is recorded as being a secretary. In 1910 she is recorded as being a Private Governess, and in subsequent records she is recorded as having no occupation. Norah's sister, Grace, married Frank Hughes-Hallet in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Norah visited them a couple of times, in 1925 and 1960, as well as making a trip to South Africa in 1957. She died in Ealing in 1973.
